Satellite-measured methane intensity at the company level, allowing for comparison with regulatory requirements, sector peers, and disclosed GHG emissions from downstream users of energy or fossil fuel stocks.

Key finding: Some top global electric utilities were found to be significantly (+30%) under-reporting their GHG footprints because of high levels of upstream gas leakage. Signal estimates production data for the observed methane intensity calculation because self-reported production volumes are often outdated and incomplete.

Formula: Sustainability Ratio® = Transition Opportunity ÷ Transition Risk

Numerator metrics include market leadership in ZEV/PHV, alternative vehicle projections, and CO2/km momentum. Denominator metrics include fleet emissions, governance, transparency, and geo-risk.
