The ESG data of over 3,000 companies, generated by As You Sow, with over 30 years of experience in data collection, analysis, and direct corporate engagement.
Our plan is to grow with international coverage, a particular focus on Europe.
Production, Scoring, Delivery
Currently, Racial Justice (RJ) and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) data is updated and produced quarterly to data licensees.
Each quarter, our researchers explore company websites, corporate diversity disclosures, reports, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and other regulatory filings, as well as other sources to accurately assign Key Performance Indicator (KPI) scores to each company.
Points are awarded for each disclosed data set, weighted by its importance for transparency in evaluating corporate DEI effectiveness. The Racial Justice data provides a corporate profile indicating the culture on racial equity and environmental justice.
Our related nonprofit As You Sow issue experts are often directly in touch with a number of corporate executives, cross-validating key data points. These scores are used to calculate a total score that is indicative of where the company holistically stands with respect to RJ and DEI efforts.

Key Performance Indicators
As of October 2022, there are 31 distinct DEI and 27 RJ KPIs divided into different pillars. All are focused on the disclosure of various material information. These metrics are used to assign an overall score for each company.
Currently, we target 20 companies on pesticides, 200 on plastics and 500 on CEO pay.
